The Bangkok Music Society Choir is looking for
a Conductor/Music Director to lead us through
our 2009/2010 season…. and beyond!
The Bangkok Music Society (BMS) is looking for a new Music Director to direct the BMS Choir and organize the programme of performances. Applications are invited from interested and qualified persons for an audition.
We are looking for someone who:
•
Has experience in conducting performances
•Can participate in programme planning with the BMS Board
•Has the ability to work well with amateur choirs
About the BMS
The BMS has been a part of the Bangkok musical scene for over 30 years. It comprises a membership of people interested in music, mainly but not exclusively western classical, and people who enjoy making music themselves. The BMS organizes 3-4 concerts a year with a varied repertoire of choral and instrumental music.
Recent concerts include Handel’s Samson, and the ‘Seven Joys of Christmas’ concert featured works by Pergolesi, Mechem and Charpentier. BMS has also performed works by Dvorak, Cherubini, Bach, Vivaldi and more.
The Choir rehearses every Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm.
